Timeline
-
During this phase of the project we established the structure, format, and administrative logistics.
-
During this phase of the project we will be hosting focus groups to listen and brainstorm. The information gathered will be used to design a cohesive strategy to expand, diversify, train, and retain the infant and early childhood mental health workforce. A report is due to the Washington State Legislature in June of 2025. Anyone providing support to young children and families in Washington State is invited to participate, including infant mental health specialists, home visitors, child care providers, community health workers, early intervention specialists, and other trusted community members. More information on the focus groups is available here.
-
During this phase of the project, the Design Team will be looking at all the stories and ideas collected during the community engagement phase. Information will be compiled into a draft version of the report.
-
During this phase of the project the Design Team will share a draft version of the plan with the community. People who participated in focus groups, or anyone interested in the project, will be asked to share their reactions and contribute additional ideas.
-
During this phase the Design Team will craft the final version of the plan. A report to the legislature is due on June 30, 2025. Upon completion, the plan will be distributed widely with possible publication in journals and websites.
